Fraternal Twins

These are a pair of shoes that I designed and made in my junior year at Otis.

Concept: A pair of shoes, redefining what ‘a pair’ means. These shoes aim to be a non-matching-matching pair, celebrating our differences, rather than attempting to be carbon copies. Our feet are not identical, why should our shoes be?

Shoutouts to my foot model, friend, and roommate:

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

My friends get pretty creative with themes. Create a mythical creature (that doesn't exist already. i.e. no unicorns) So I was a Cryne. A crying paper crane.

The misadventures of poopcorn

Note to self: No matter how fascinating you think popcorn (or corn, in general) is... NEVER, NEVER and once again NEVER! attempt to cook them in an open pot, while holding a camera, and your roommates are away. You will end up with a burnt pot, horrible pictures, and a mess you will clean all by your lonesome.

Today I didn't even have to use my A.K., I gotta say it was a good day.

Cardboard table I made last year.
A little Frank Gehry, a little Ice Cube.
Where architect and gangster rapper
would share a lovely cup of afternoon tea.

I wish I took pictures right after I made it, but I had a party, and with all the fun that needed to be had, the crazy drunks have destroyed my table-- maybe they thought it was a footrest?

Wacktastic

Dr. Seuss project: Choose a Dr. Seuss book, and create an object/product inspired by it.
I chose Wacky Wednesday--- because Wacky Wednesday is awesome, and anything goes on Wacky Wednesday.

I was really embarrassed of this project and even cried during the critique, but I like it again, and so I finally acknowledge it's existence. Here is my pencil bag.

the grueling process.

the finished product.

I am my father's daughter.

This was a lamp project I did last semester. Big stress but so worth it.

My first time welding! My dad has a welding company... and it took me 22 years to finally try it. It was actually really fun- and I love the whole welding outfit. I felt pretty badass in it. Future fashion inspiration?

the process

tada! I present you the feather lamp.

let there be light!

SURPRISE!!! pull the cord and watch the lamp transform to a dress. Your excitement for the day. You're welcome.

you can't really tell from the pictures... but the old light bulb was really beautiful.

Say it, don't spray it.

If you already didn't know- I like lists. Whether its making them or collecting them- it's a jolly good time! But unfortunately after school started I have been completely neglecting my book of lists. Here's one from when I was sick during the summer:
